Welcome to the Ramayana section, here we have made an effort to present the various panels available in Amruthapura Temple pertaining to Ramayana.
Each panel is explained with a brief background of the story and who are the actors present in each scene. There are about 66 slides, which would require you atleast 30 minutes to read and watch it. Please take out your precious time to watch each panel as it uncovers the whole story of Ramayana. It almost touches all major incidents which happened and the artists have carefully considered the details to the maximum extent. We request you also to visit this temple once and see it to yourself.
The story is divided into seven main kandas as per Valmiki (Bala, Ayodhya, Aranya, Khiskinda, Sundara , Yuddha and Uttara Kanda. In this temple Uttara Kanda is missing.)
The story is organized in a fashion so that there is continuity from one scene to the next and you can always use the navigation buttons to move forward or backward.
If you are reading at ease, then to help you, we are listing down the titles of each scene along with its kanda, so that you can directly jump to that scene immediately and continue your reading.
Our advise to you, is that it would be good, if you could get your children and parents too to sit with you when you are going through the scenes, this helps children to visualize better and also develops their mind to present things in visual format. It also helps them in elaborating things looking at visual clippings.
