Kumbhakarna the legendary brother of Ravana who sleeps for six months and stays awake for six months, is waken up in the middle of the fight.
As there is heavy casualty at both sides, Ravana decides to wake up Kumbhakarna.
In the above panel, Kumbhakarna is fast asleep and people are trying to wake him up using elephant's trumpet near his ears. They are beating drums, trumpets, etc., just to ensure he gets up and goes for the fight.
The above scene is filled with life and one can see Kumbhakarna is sleeping neerathanka(thoughtless). |
